Construction works of the Motorway A1 Sfax - Gabès (Lot N°6)
The project is part of the construction of the Maghreb highway which will bind the 5 Maghreb countries: Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya.
In total, this motorway project includes 6 sections extending over 155 km, namely El Hencha - SakietEzzit, SakietEzzit - Sfax, Sfax - Mahrès, Mahrès - Skhira, Skhira - Mettouia, Mettouia-Gabes, with the planned completion of 5 interchanges, 10 large bridges, 71 bridges, 195 hydraulic structures, 6 rest areas, and 5 toll stations, for 817 million dinars.
CETA was approached by the company "Société des Routes et des Bâtiments - SOROUBAT" to devolop the execution drawings for Lot6 (Mettouia-Gabes) with a length of 28km.
The project includes the study of:
- The highway platform (roadway and outbuilding);
- The Mettouia interchange, which links the highway to the RN15 towards Gabes and Gafsa;
- The large hydraulic structures "GOH" crossing large watercourses, and are designed for 100-year return periods hydrometeorological events:
- GOH311 on Oued EL Akarit, reinforced concrete beam bridge with isostatic girders of 03 spans of 20m (60ml), with deep foundations;
- GOH331 on Oued El Maleh, reinforced concrete beam bridge with isostatic girders of 08 spans of 20m (160ml), with deep foundations;
- Eight (08) solid slab overpasses made of reinforced concrete composed of four spans with an average length of 56m, based on shallow foundations;
- One (01) overpass made with a reinforced concrete slab composed of four spans 62.78m long, based on a deep foundation;
- One (01) underpass: this structure allows the crossing of the Aouinet-Ghannouch railway line
- The development of two toll stations
- Hydraulic structures (single and multiple culverts);
- Drainage structures (ducted passages);
- Drainage and sanitation of the highway platform and its surroundings;
- Vertical road signs, road markings, and the installation of safety devices.
