Taking into account the urban development in the new Menzah I and II garden districts in the governorate of Tunis, the Tunis regional directorate of the Ministry of Equipment, Housing and Regional Planning has decided to a direct link between line X4 and road X20.

The projected radial originates on track X20, about 1km from the X3 junction and 1.5km from the X20 / X2 junction. The project concerns the extension of the X4 radial (from the Carrefour Malagua to the planned interchange at the intersection with the X20 over a length of 2231m): The project also includes the upgrading to 2x2 lanes of the section between the roundabout in front of the Sheraton hotel and the headquarters of the National Television and the roundabout X4 Avenue ChedlyZouiten. The length of this section is 555m.
