In addition to the EU from the town of Borj Cedria, the treatment plant also connects the wastewater from the town of Fondouk Jedid as well as that from the new town of Seltène (AFH subdivision).

The mission mainly focused on the studies of all the structures to be built, namely:

• The biological pre-treatment block;
• Aeration basins;
• Secondary settling tanks (clarifiers);
• The wastewater lift station and the sludge pumping station;
• The thickener and drying beds;
• Operating buildings, official accommodation, the keeper's lodge and ancillary premises.
• The implementation study also included:
  • The use of the results of the geotechnical campaign to determine the bearing capacity of the soil at the level of the foundations of the structures;
  • Calculation notes for excavation support for secondary settling tanks and aeration basins by sheet pile walls;
  • The measurements of the works of the works to be carried out.
