General traffic census in the Governorate of Ben Arous
The mission concerns the carrying out of traffic censuses, by type of vehicle and by category, by recorded day and by hour for the development of road traffic statistics on the classified state network.
These censuses are carried out in four (04) phases according to the program established for the Regional Directorate of Ben Arous, lasting a total of one year. The various road sections have been grouped into three (03) classes and five (05) categories, depending on the traffic they supported during the 2002 census.
Each phase includes:
- The classification of road sections and the development of the counting program
- The installation and organization of counting stations
- Preparation of printed materials and working documents
- Manual and automatic vehicle counting
- The collection and reporting of resulting traffic
- Monitoring and control of census operations
- Development of daily traffic summary tables
- Development of road traffic statistics
