New wharf at the Sfax naval base
The new docking wharf at the Sfax naval base consists of a sheet pile wall (AZ48) with a height of 17m connected at the head to a sheet pile anchoring wall (AZ18) 10m high at the using M90 tie rods.
The project also includes the construction of a crane block based on 4 D600mm metal piles 16m in length.
The calculation of the sheet pile walls was carried out using the so-called reaction modulus method, taking into account the elastoplastic behavior of the soil and the occasional mooring forces on the bollards.
