Work of art for crossing the Sbeitla river
The structure crosses the Sbeitla river, located on the axis of the RN13 national road which links between Sfax and Kasserine.
The planned structure is a reinforced concrete slab bridge with five (05) spans (13m + 16m + 16m + 16m + 13m), with a total length equal to 74m.
The book has two independent decks with a total width of 21.8m and a thickness of 60cm.
The intermediate supports (posts) of each deck are made up of sails with a thickness of 60cm built, through a connecting sole, on a row of 3 Ø1000 posts 18m in length.
The abutments are each made up of a header based directly on a row of 3 posts Ø 1000 18m in length.
The project required, among other things:
- The development of the access ramps to the work and the connecting roads over a length of 526m;
- The development of two roundabouts on either side of the connecting road;
- The development of an access road for local residents over a linear distance of 409m.
